OZNE is a young photographer of Armenian origins, active between London and Milan who - convinced of the social value of art - carries out a production that combines simple style with reflection on contemporary themes.
The HYPOCRISIS series, exhibited at the MIA Photo Fair 2024 at the Glauco Cavaciuti Arte stand in exchange for a donation to raise funds for WWF Italy, consists of 5 photographs of glimpses of the sky, immortalized by OZNE himself with his iPhone 15 from the window of a private jet during a flight over Europe.
The series, with subtle irony, denounces the hypocrisy of our time, in particular Greenwashing and those who promote campaigns in favor of the environment, with a superficial attitude, but devoid of concrete actions for the Common Good.
OZNE makes the viewer the protagonist of the work of art, involving him in the choice of whether or not to buy a photograph that - despite the purpose of supporting the environmental charity par excellence - was taken aboard the means of transport that is considered to be the most polluting on the planet.
