Juventus match shirt - 1981 New Year's Tournament

Description
Juventus match shirt issued / worn by a player with the number 18 during the New Year's Tournament in the 1980/81 season.
During the 1981 New Year's Tournament, Juventus, like most Italian teams of the era, did not use fixed shirt numbers for players. Numbers were assigned based on the role and lineup for each match. Therefore, the shirt numbers worn by players varied from game to game and were not associated with a specific player throughout the competition.
The jersey, used in January during the tournament, is made of heavier wool compared to the usual lightweight wool fabric typically used.
The New Year's Tournament was an Italian football competition organized in 1981 by the Lega Nazionale Professionisti and FIGC, involving the sixteen clubs of Serie A in the 1980/81 season. The tournament, conceived to ensure continuity of competitive activity during the break caused by the "Mundialito" in Uruguay, began on January 4, 1981, and paused on January 11, 1981, after the semifinals. The final was played between Ascoli and Juventus on June 14, 1981, after the Serie A season had concluded. Ascoli won the tournament.
