Description

Magnum bottle (1.5 lt) of Guado al Tasso Bolgheri DOC Superiore 2021.

The 2021 vintage in Bolgheri was characterized by a prolonged dry period from June until September. However, unlike 2017, the particularly rainy winter contributed to significantly increasing the water reserves of the deep soils that characterize the territory, providing the vines with the right support for the entire production phase. The spring, generally cool, favored a slight delay in budding and subsequent flowering. Summer temperatures were never excessive, allowing a slow and regular ripening of the grapes in each vineyard with excellent levels of integrity and health. The harvest began with Merlot in early September, continued with Cabernet Franc around the middle of the month and concluded with Cabernet Sauvignon at the end of September. The three varieties showed an exceptional concentration in extract and fruit, defining 2021 as a beautiful vintage.
