Lunch at Davide Oldani's OLMO Restaurant, Piazza della Chiesa 7, Cornaredo, for two, drinks included, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, to be arranged with the restaurant by email.
Davide Oldani, the creator of pop cuisine—high quality and accessible—opened his restaurant, D’O, in Cornaredo, in the province of Milan, his hometown, in 2003. He is listed among the great chefs of Italian cuisine by the most authoritative food guides. Olmo Restaurant overlooks the church square and derives from the tree that Davide Oldani holds so dear in the small square where D'O is located. The elm is a very long-lived tree with strong, deep roots that stretch upward. "Earth to plant your feet on, not just sky to plant your dreams in" (quote from D.O.) Earth, roots, and growth was a dream come true: a new "place" where guests will define its "meaning."
