Magnum Barolo DOCG Pio Cesare 2017

Description
3-liter magnum bottle of Brunello di Barolo DOCG Pio Cesare 2017.
A very classic Barolo: elegance and finesse, ripe and spicy fruit, substantial but not overpowering tannins, good structure and concentration. A very long-lived wine.
Ours is not a "basic" Barolo, but has always represented, as per tradition, the most faithful expression of the various great terroirs of the Barolo region.
Barolo is the result of a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes from family-owned vineyards located in various locations within the Barolo region: in Serralunga d'Alba (Cascina Ornato, La Serra, and Briccolina), in Grinzane Cavour (Gustava and Garretti), in La Morra (Roncaglie), in Novello (Ravera), and, since the 2015 harvest, in Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi).
Pio Cesare was founded in 1881 when Pio Cesare, a successful entrepreneur, was attracted by the idea of producing a small and select quantity of wines from the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco for himself, his family, his friends, and his clients.
Year after year, Pio Cesare created a fully-fledged business, combining his passion for wine with a constant focus on the quality and style of his wines. The Pio Cesare brand grew in fame and recognition on the national and international markets and established itself convincingly and definitively, thanks primarily to Barolo, as one of the great names in Italian wine, becoming one of the most authoritative and respected representatives of the wine industry in Italy and around the world. Today, the company is led by the fourth generation of the family, which currently owns approximately 70 hectares of vineyards in particularly suitable locations.
The winery is one of the few remaining in the historic center of the city of Alba. Built in the late 18th century, it is surrounded and bordered by the ancient Roman walls of Alba Pompeia, which form its foundation and are visible from every corner.
This lot was donated by PIO CESARE Aziende Vitivinicole.
