Description

The title of this 4-part work – a clear homage to the iconic jersey number – comes from an anecdote linked to the beginning of Javier Zanetti’s career.

During an audition he was rejected and called “Sombra de Alambre” (Shadow of Iron Wire) for his slender figure.

The work comes to life from the center, expanding outwards. In the center, the thin white lines represent the shadows created by the color sprayed on the iron wire: a symbol of initial fragility that, fueled by talent, determination and energy, grows and transforms.

Butterflies, a universal symbol of metamorphosis, accentuate this idea, to finally arrive at the element of steel bolts that embody the consolidated strength of the “tractor,” the leader who guides and drags the group. But not only in the world of sports; this is an example of life for everyone: achieving great results with determination and vocation, even through difficult situations.

The colors “white-light blue” and “blue-black” evoke the journey that leads from Argentina to Italy and Inter.

A part of the canvas painted during the evening by the artist Enrico Magnani.

The 1x1 canvas will be divided into 4 and each piece will go to auction. It will be signed by the artist and Zanetti. Each single painting is unique, together with the other parts it composes a broader vision of the drawing but it also has a meaning on its own.
