Alberico Evani

Alberico Evani, known as Chicco, is an Italian football coach and former footballer who played as a midfielder. Vice-champion of the world in 1994.

Between the years 1980 and 1990 he was among the protagonists of Milan’s successes, winning the 1987-1988 Scudetto and the two successive European Cups (1989 and 1990), as well as two Intercontinental Cups. In the final of the first of the two Intercontinental Cups, held in Tokyo on 17 December 1989, he scored a free-kick goal against the Colombians of the Atlético Nacional de Medellín in the last minute of overtime, and was awarded at the end of the race as the best player of the final. Ten days earlier he had been the architect of the success of AC Milan in the European Super Cup against Barcelona, scoring also in that free kick match, as in the Tokyo match against the Colombians.
