Unique vase decorated by Grazia La Padula.


Artwork created live on October 31, 2025, at Palazzo Guinigi in Lucca, during the Foodmetti event in collaboration with Alessi.

The vase, made of white ceramic, belongs to the historic collection designed by Alessandro Mendini for Alessi and was decorated with ceramic markers by Grazia La Padula — an illustrator and comics artist of recognized talent, winner of the Coco Award and the Toppi Award, and a lecturer at IED Rome.


In her work, La Padula combines narrative sensitivity with a refined line — qualities that are also evident in this unique decoration, created specifically for the occasion.

Grazia La Padula lives in Rome. Since 2009, she has been publishing in France with Glénat, Paquet, BdMusic, and Félès. Among her comics: Les échos invisibles, Le jardin d’hiver (Echi invisibili, Giardino d’inverno, published in Italy by Tunué*), Le chapeau mystérieux de Mr. Pinon, and Itinéraire d’une garce. She collaborates, among others, with Linus, L’Espresso, Jacobin, Corriere della Sera, Tunué, and BeccoGiallo.

In 2021, she won the Coco Award as Best Solo Author; in 2023, she received the Toppi Award and the Gold Medal in the Publishing category at the Autori di Immagini Annual Awards.

She has created posters and covers for records, magazines, comics, and novels, and has taken part in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She is a Comics lecturer at IED Rome.
