Pelé Santos match shirt - Signed
Description
Santos match shirt issued/worn by Pelé in an official match of 1971/72 season.
Pelé has signed the shirt on the front.
In the 1971/72 season, Pelé, by then the undisputed symbol of Santos, continued to showcase his extraordinary scoring prowess. Although he was in the later stage of his Brazilian career, the “King” played around 38 matches and scored 36 goals, maintaining an average of nearly one per game.
Santos didn’t achieve the same level of triumph as in the 1960s but remained competitive, finishing among the top teams in the Campeonato Paulista.
Pelé stood out not only for his finishing ability but also for his leadership in a team undergoing change, often at the center of international tours that expanded the club’s global fame. That season marked the last great wave of dominance for the Pelé-era Santos.
This memorabilia is part of the match supply made available to players during official competitions and is different in its features in relation to the ones sold in fanshops, it could have been worn during the match and washed after the end of the match or prepared for the match but then not used.
