“Abacab” is the eleventh studio album by Genesis, released in 1981 on Charisma Records and distributed in Italy by PolyGram. The record marks a turning point in the band’s career, as they moved away from their 1970s progressive rock roots toward a more contemporary, synth-driven sound that defined the early 1980s new wave and pop-rock era.
The album includes major hits such as “Abacab”, “No Reply at All”, “Man on the Corner”, and “Keep It Dark”, perfectly blending Genesis’s sophisticated songwriting with the modern electronic influences of the time.
