AGV helmet, a replica of the legendary Moto GP-Tech helmet worn by Valentino Rossi, used by the Italian rider to celebrate the victory of his ninth World Championship title in the 2009 season.

Valentino Rossi used AGV helmets throughout his entire professional career, from his debut in the World Championship in 1996 until his retirement in 2021. AGV was his reference brand and worked closely with the rider to create custom designs and technically advanced helmets.

Throughout his career, Rossi wore helmets featuring iconic designs, created in collaboration with artist Aldo Drudi. These helmets became a symbol of Rossi’s personality and creativity. Specifically, the chicken depicted on the helmet now up for auction represents the “golden goose”, a symbol of the nine World Championship titles won by Valentino during his career (as highlighted by the number 9 displayed on the back of the helmet).

This graphic also references the well-known Italian saying “an old hen makes good broth”, echoed by the shirt worn by Valentino at the end of the Sepang race—a clear and direct message to those who, at the time, considered him to be past his best.
