France National Team match jersey issued / worn by Parker for a World Cup warm-up match, 2006/07 season.
During one of these World Cup warm-up matches, the French talent suffered a finger injury that prevented him from taking part in the 2006 World Cup, which his national team finished in fifth place.
His career
- NBA: Tony Parker was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2001 NBA Draft and became one of the franchise’s cornerstones for 17 seasons. With the Spurs he won four NBA championships (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014), reaching the peak of his career in 2007, when he was named NBA Finals MVP. After a brief stint with ASVEL during the 2011 lockout, he ended his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets in the 2018–19 season before retiring.
- National team: Parker made his debut with the French national team at a very young age and became team captain in 2003. After winning the bronze medal at EuroBasket 2005, he led Les Bleus to the EuroBasket 2011 final and to their first-ever European title in 2013, earning MVP honors. He retired from international basketball after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Role and characteristics: Standing 188 cm tall and weighing 80 kg, Parker played as a point guard but in an unconventional way: rather than focusing on playmaking, he consistently favored an aggressive offensive approach, relying more on dribble penetration than on distributing assists.
Blessed with an explosive first step, he was extremely difficult to contain once attacking the basket. On drives, he could finish with layups—often using high, soft trajectories that were hard to block even for bigger defenders—or stop suddenly to create space with step-backs and pull-up jump shots.
A player of great experience and strong personality, Parker was frequently decisive in clutch moments, showing remarkable composure even under intense pressure.
This memorabilia is part of the match supply made available to players during official competitions and is different in its features in relation to the ones sold in fanshops, it could have been worn during the match and washed after the end of the match or prepared for the match but then not used.
