When Renè, "Nom De Plume," debuted in the art world, he already had a fondness and predilection for the great paintings of the early twentieth century, starting with the best of POP ART, born in the 1950s, which fascinated him so much that it became his reason for living.

His paintings today are constructed from fragments of memory, with cues from current events, small-scale history, and great history, which easily intersect and offer a new reading of the world. Renè's world is that of the common world, of the victory of good over evil and vice versa, of the often unresolved conflicts of our society.
