A commemorative T-shirt, "Let's remember Ivan. Let's defeat violence," was designed for the Juventus vs. Lazio match, held on March 30, 2002, at the Stadio delle Alpi in Turin.
The match ended 1-1.
On June 18, 1989, the day of the Fiorentina-Bologna match, some Fiorentina fans from the "Alcool Campi" group waited at the Rifredi station for the train carrying over two thousand Bologna supporters to Florence.
The attack, using rocks and Molotov cocktails, was perhaps retaliation for previous, habitual violence between the two fan groups.
A Molotov cocktail set fire to the train carriage carrying 14-year-old Ivan Dall'Olio, who suffered burns over much of his body.
