Description

Display plaque inspired by the film Taxi Driver, the 1976 movie directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Paul Schrader. Set in post–Vietnam War New York City, it tells the story of a vigilante figure with strong neo-noir elements and a psychological thriller atmosphere.

The film is widely regarded by both critics and audiences as one of the director’s masterpieces and a landmark of modern cinema.

This plaque has been hand-signed by Robert De Niro, the film’s lead actor, and comes with a proof photo of the signing.

Designed as a display piece, this plaque is a reproduction in a “poster/metal sign” style and features a bold, instantly recognizable graphic, with the main character’s image and the iconic TAXI DRIVER title prominently displayed.

In Taxi Driver, Robert De Niro plays Travis Bickle, an ex-marine who returns from Vietnam and begins working as a night taxi driver in New York City. A lonely and deeply troubled character, Travis experiences growing inner distress and anger toward the violence and “filth” he sees in the city streets. Over time, his mind becomes increasingly unstable and obsessed with the idea of “cleaning up” the world around him.

It remains one of the most iconic roles of De Niro’s career, also famous for the legendary line: “You talkin’ to me?”

A striking, emotional display piece with strong symbolic value—an outstanding collectible that brings together cinema history and memorabilia in one unique opportunity not to be missed.
