Since 2000, Stelle nello Sport has supported Gigi Ghirotti, an organization that provides social and healthcare assistance to people with terminal illnesses who require palliative care: at home and at two hospices in Genoa. In 2022, Gigi Ghirotti formally became a Third Sector Foundation. More than half of the funds come from private donations and fundraising events. This "Auction" is historically promoted by Stelle nello Sport, the project conceived by Michele Corti (member of the Gigi Ghirotti Foundation Board of Directors), which promotes the values of sport in Liguria and sponsors numerous socially beneficial events.
