Description

The Juventus/Torino match shirt worn by Sordo in the second half inaugural match of the Delle Alpi stadium, played between the mixed Juventus/Torino team against Porto, 1990 season.

On 31 May 1990, the Stadio delle Alpi in Turin hosted its inaugural match, opening the stadium built for the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy. The game featured a combined Juventus–Torino selection, made up of players from both Turin clubs, against FC Porto, the reigning Portuguese champions. The evening began with an official ceremony and a minute of silence in memory of the victims of Superga, the Heysel disaster, and Gaetano Scirea.

The match ended in an entertaining 4-3 victory for the Turin selection. The main protagonist was Haris Škoro, who scored a hat-trick and became the first player to score at the Stadio delle Alpi.

This historic friendly officially inaugurated the stadium that would soon host several matches of the 1990 World Cup.

The shirt was swapped at the end of the match between Sordo of the mixed squad and the Nascimento player, as visible in the gallery.

This memorabilia is part of the match supply made available to players during official competitions and is different in its features in relation to the ones sold in fanshops.
