Description

A captivating 3D papercut forest where multiple layers of cut paper create a deep perspective effect. Small wild animals appear among the silhouettes of trees and thick bushes, animating the scene, transforming simple overlapping sheets of paper into a living, three-dimensional landscape.

Hi! I'm Giulia Civitico (Microamica), born in Maniago, the town of knives, in 1987. And the knife is the symbol I carry with me throughout my life; with blades, I express my creativity on paper. I attended the Art Institute in Friuli and then moved to the Marche region, where I still live, to attend the ISIA in Urbino and graduate in Graphics and Visual Communication. After an initial experience with various engraving and printing techniques, I continue to develop my ideas using cutting tools, preferring cellulose as the basis for my work.

The technique I use is called "papercutting": from a simple piece of cardboard, using modeling cutters, I create dreamlike images full of references to various artistic influences.
