Daniela Diletti is an entrepreneur and teacher. Raised in her family's shoe factory in the Marche region, she graduated in Art History and specialized in Architecture and Landscape. She teaches History of Arts and Techniques at the IAAD in Turin and History and Culture of Design at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan. In 2012, she founded La Marchigiana, with the aim of innovating the artisanal footwear sector, starting with the renewal of shapes and sizes for women's footwear. She designs shoes with a strong identity, drawing inspiration from female personalities of the past, and from the worlds of music, film, and literature. Alongside the purely aesthetic component, the design takes into account anthropometric parameters and the impact of hormonal fluctuations on the structure of the foot and, consequently, posture. Through its commitment to education on social media, in customer relations, and the use of surplus leather, La Marchigiana champions a production culture based on the recovery of raw materials, pre-sales, and customization, combating waste. In 2021, she was among the founders and speakers of "Comari. Paesaggi di imprenditoria empatica," an event dedicated to the dialogue between local communities, business skills, and the landscape. In 2022, she founded Gilda, a collective that aims to bring artisan micro-businesses abroad with logistics inspired by rock band tours. In 2025, she founded Freepiediny System, a footwear mediation project aimed at informing women about foot transformations and the impact shoes have on foot and overall body health. In addition to the Turin store, the Petritoli store, and numerous pop-up stores in Italy and abroad, she collaborates with Castiglion del Bosco Relais, where she leads experiential workshops dedicated to leather goods and footwear.
