Founded on a collecting taste that combines an interest in contemporary and antique art, the BNL BNP Paribas art collection dates back to the 1930s and comprises approximately 6,000 works. The Aldobrandeschi vault serves as a storage facility, housing approximately 2,000 works.
The works are cataloged, protected, and racked. True masterpieces are preserved there, which for various reasons (size, weight, delicate materials) cannot currently be displayed in the Bank's various locations. Artists from 1400 to 2000 include Cavalier d'Arpino, Simone Cantarini, Genovesino, Giovanni Baglione, Baciccio, Pompeo Batoni, Hayez, Gino Severini, Carlo Carrà, Giorgio De Chirico, and Picasso. General presentation of the collection, including an explanation of the MIC's restrictions and interests.
The tour includes:
- Visit to the vault. Among the works on display, 15 easels (double-sided) will be set up to display the main works.
- Visit to the FD room, with a display and description of the works.
- Visit to the restoration room.
- Visit to the entrance and access room of the Aldobrandeschi complex, where important works from the Collection are displayed.
