Cannubi Barolo DOCG Magnum
Charity initiative supporting Fondazione Telethon ETS
Lot provided by DamilanoDescription
Cannubi Barolo DOCG 1.5L Magnum
Cannubi is considered the Grand Cru of Barolo, an extraordinary wine in terms of style and elegance. The exceptional quality of the grapes grown on the Cannubi hill is determined by the unique composition of the soil: these are relatively undeveloped soils, consisting of gray-whitish clay marl on the surface. The soil where the Damilano vineyards are located has a high percentage of sand (up to 45%), which gives the grapes intense aromas of cherry, plum, tobacco, and evolving rose and violet.
A low potassium content, along with a good amount of calcium and magnesium, give the wine finesse and elegance. With an intense and vibrant color, the wine boasts a high polyphenolic concentration. Its striking ruby-garnet red color with limited orange highlights and a broad, enveloping aroma, with evident fruity notes of cherry and plum and evolved hints of tobacco, licorice, and cocoa, are striking.
Upon tasting, the palate is enveloped by a harmonious, pleasantly dry flavor, with soft tannins and sensations of body and fullness.
