Matthaus Inter match shirt
Description
Inter match shirt issued/worn by Matthaus in a Serie A match, 1991/1992 season.
The 1991/92 season was a difficult one for Inter following Giovanni Trapattoni's departure. Corrado Orrico's tenure as coach didn't yield the desired results, and the team was immediately eliminated from the UEFA Cup, which they had won the previous year. In a challenging environment, Lothar Matthäus remained the Nerazzurri's technical leader, making 27 appearances and scoring four goals in the league. However, in April, a serious knee ligament tear against Parma ended his season prematurely. Inter finished the season in 8th place, definitively bringing to an end the era of the historic German Inter side featuring Matthäus, Brehme, and Klinsmann.
This memorabilia is part of the match supply made available to players during official competitions and is different in its features in relation to the ones sold in fanshops, it could have been worn during the match and washed after the end of the match or prepared for the match but then not used.
