Chopard Happy Diamonds "Happy Clown" with COA
Description
An icon of the Chopard Maison and one of the most emblematic creations in the history of contemporary high jewelry.
Offered at auction, this extraordinary Happy Clown pendant belongs to the celebrated Happy Diamonds collection and is crafted in 18-karat yellow gold, set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds.
The Happy Clown holds a special place in the history of Chopard. It was the first piece of jewelry designed by Caroline Scheufele, now Co-President and Artistic Director of the Maison. Originally created from a personal drawing and later transformed into a gift by her father, Karl Scheufele III, the design was introduced into Chopard's production in 1985 and went on to become one of the most recognizable symbols of the Happy Diamonds universe.
Featuring articulated limbs and a transparent central body containing freely moving gemstones, the clown perfectly embodies the philosophy behind Happy Diamonds: precious stones dancing freely between sapphire crystals, animated by light and movement.
