The gold medal of the 2015 Champions League awarded to Barcelona players to celebrate the victory in the final against Juventus.

The match was played on 06/06/2015 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin between Barcelona and Juventus.

The Blaugrana reached the final after eliminating Bayern Munich, while Juventus had overcome Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

The match was won by Barcelona 3-1.

With this victory, Barcelona claimed their fifth Champions League, also completing a historic treble under Luis Enrique: La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League in the same season.

The medal is round and gold-coloured, with a particularly thick construction and a finish combining satin surfaces with polished details. One side features the famous starball, the symbol of the UEFA Champions League, rendered in relief with a striking three-dimensional effect.

The reverse side once again features the competition’s emblem, accompanied by the embossed inscriptions “UEFA Champions League” and “2015”.

The dark blue ribbon repeatedly features the inscription “FINAL BERLIN 2015”, the UEFA Champions League logo and the final’s emblem, immediately identifying the event for which the medal was produced.

The 2014/15 season represented one of the most important moments in Barcelona’s history. The attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar, known as the MSN, were the driving force behind an extraordinary campaign that culminated in the treble. The victory in Berlin also represented the last Champions League title won by the Catalan club to date.
