Zinho Brazil match shirt vs Italy
Description
Brazil match shirt prepared / worn by Zinho for the friendly match against Italy played in Fortaleza on 9 January 2020, 2020 season.
On 9 January 2020, at the Estádio Presidente Vargas in Fortaleza, legends of Brazil and Italy returned to the pitch to celebrate the historic 1994 World Cup Final, won by the Seleção on penalties at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
For the occasion, Brazil fielded several key figures from that generation, including Taffarel, Jorginho, Aldair, Márcio Santos, Cafu, Mauro Silva, Mazinho, Bebeto, Romário and Zinho, once again coached by Carlos Alberto Parreira. Arrigo Sacchi returned to the Italian bench.
Zinho started the match wearing the number 9 shirt, the same squad number he had worn for Brazil during the 1994 World Cup.
The commemorative match ended with a 1-0 victory for Italy, courtesy of a goal by Daniele Massaro.
A World Cup winner with Brazil in 1994 and one of the prominent figures of the Seleção during the 1990s, Zinho was part of the side that brought Brazil back to the top of world football after a 24-year wait.
The shirt features the internal heat-applied washing label, a feature that distinguishes match shirts from store shirts.
This memorabilia is part of the match supply made available to players during official competitions and is different in its features in relation to the ones sold in fanshops, it could have been worn during the match and washed after the end of the match or prepared for the match but then not used.
