Djalma Santos was one of the greatest right-backs in the history of Brazilian and world football. He represented Brazil at four consecutive World Cups, from 1954 to 1966, winning the tournament in 1958 and 1962.

Renowned for his defensive strength, technical ability and contribution to attacking play, he was a key figure in the legendary Brazilian generation of Pelé and Garrincha. During his long career, he played primarily for Portuguesa and Palmeiras, establishing himself as one of the most iconic defenders in Brazilian football history.
