Italy match shirt worn by Franco Baresi during the UEFA Euro 1988 qualifying match against Sweden, played on 14 November 1987 at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples, 1987/88 season. The shirt comes from the private collection of Torbjörn Persson, with whom Baresi swapped shirts at the end of the match.

In front of more than 75,000 spectators, the Italian national team, led by Azeglio Vicini, secured a crucial victory on their road to the 1988 European Championship in West Germany. Both Franco Baresi and Torbjörn Persson, Sweden’s left-back wearing the number 5 shirt, played the entire match.
