During the 1984/85 season, his last with Juventus, Zbigniew Boniek played a key role in the club's triumphs in the European Cup, the first in Juventus' history, and the UEFA Super Cup.
The Polish forward was instrumental in Juventus' UEFA Super Cup victory against Liverpool, scoring a brace in the 2-0 win on January 16, 1985. He also contributed to the club's 1984/85 European Cup triumph, culminating in the 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the final on May 29, 1985.
