Designed by Gianni Cinti, the Turandot decoration, inspired by Giacomo Puccini’s opera of the same name, pays tribute to the 18th-century Chinoiserie style, which also played an important role in Rosenthal designs at the end of the 19th century.

A sumptuous composition of peony flowers, bamboo leaves and ginkgo leaves in delicate colours is complemented by golden dragonflies, creating a rich and refined decorative effect.

The inspiration for these poetic porcelain motifs comes from the shores of West Lake in Hangzhou, China, resulting in an elegant interplay of Eastern and Western influences.
