Sacco armchair, design Gatti Paolini and Teodoro, 1968 – Zanotta Spa.
Sacco is a docile and helpful object: you can sit on it, lie down, curl up or however you like. It can be used to place various things, just like a coffee table; stretched out it is something very similar to a carpet. But it is not at all forbidden to invent other uses.
Children, on the other hand, do not use it: they play with it (sometimes even adults). Sacco is a truly “domesticated” object. But be careful! It has a disadvantage: if you get used to it, you will end up being very demanding towards the other objects you use.
Sacco is considered one of the most ingenious and representative objects of Italian design.
