Gian Paolo Barbieri

Description
Title of the work:
"Delfini"
Technical specifications:
- Seychelles 1996;
- 50x60 cm - ex. 2/15;
- Ink Jet Print Photo Rag Baryta 315 gsm;
- Courtesy Fondazione Gian Paolo Barbieri.
Additional information:
"The shot belongs to the sea trilogy project, with shots taken in the Seychelles, Madagascar and Tahiti; this one in particular was taken in the Seychelles in 1996. Always linked to those places, Barbieri decided to indulge there with his artifice but always respecting nature. For this photo he created two cardboard dolphins that stood out in the sunset light like silhouettes on the horizon. They were supported by two assistants who, at Barbieri's command, dived to emulate the dolphins' jumps and get sketches for the shot. Barbieri has never abandoned his creative spirit: if he can imagine something, then he can also make it."
This lot was donated by Gian Paolo Barbieri.
