Description
Title of the work:
"Lou Reed"
Technical specifications:
- New York, 1974;
- 30x50 cm - e.g. unique;
- Canson Baryta Photgraphique II 310 Fine Art Print.
Additional information:
"In the early 1970s, I frequented the most avant-garde clubs in New York, including Max's Kansas City, a historic meeting point for musicians, poets, and artists.
Here I met Lou Reed, and I took a series of portraits of him.
They were later used by RCA for the cover of the album Lou Reed Live.
Lou always told me that I earned more by selling the photos to the record company than he did for the album."
This lot was donated by Oliviero Toscano.
