Inter match shirt issued / worn by Veron on the occasion of the Champions League match against Milan, played on 12/04/2005, 2004/05 season.
The match ended with a forfeit result of 0-3 in favor of Milan.
In 2005, Inter-Milan took place in the Champions League, like the one that two years earlier in the semi-finals had allowed the Rossoneri to advance to the next round (they later won the cup in Manchester). This time, the derby took place in the quarter-finals, but that April 12th went down in history for other reasons. The worst possible: everything rained down from the stands onto the pitch, including a firecracker that hit goalkeeper Dida.
The shirt is unique to this match as it is the only occasion Veron wore long sleeves with this type of design in the Champions League that season.
