The 2004–2005 UEFA Champions League marked the 50th edition of Europe's premier club football tournament.
Liverpool emerged victorious in a legendary final against AC Milan, played on May 25, 2005, in Istanbul. Trailing 3–0 at halftime, the Reds staged an incredible comeback by scoring three goals in six minutes, sending the match into extra time and eventually winning on penalties.
It was Liverpool’s fifth title in their sixth final, while for Milan it was their tenth appearance in a Champions League final.
