Barcelona match shirt worn by Victor Valdes in the second half of the second leg of the semi-final Uefa Champions League match played against Inter in 28/04/2010, season 2009/10.

The shirt shows some peculiarities that can be found in the photos of the match presented in the gallery. These images show unequivocally that it is exactly the shirt that the player was wearing.

• On the right sleeve, there is a dirt mark identical to the one seen on the Spanish goalkeeper’s shirt.
• On the left sleeve, the same folds appear as those found on the shirt now up for auction.
• Finally, in the center of the chest, the lighter blue square pattern is positioned at the same distance from the Barcelona crest. This is a crucial detail: in the first-leg match, where the same model was used, that square appeared much farther from the Spanish team’s emblem.

Barcelona won 1–0, but it was not enough to qualify for the 2010 final in Madrid. Thanks to the 3–1 victory in the first leg at San Siro, José Mourinho’s team advanced to the final against Bayern Munich.

The shirt comes from the private collection of Paolo Orlandoni, a member of the Nerazzurri squad in the year of the Treble, who exchanged it with Victor Valdés at the end of the match.
