Since 2007 we give children new smiles. Since the beginning of our mission we have operated on over 5,400 children, who without the intervention of our doctors and nurses would not have a future. 

Emergency Smiles has been operating in the field of health and emergency care since 2007, with over 370 Italian doctors and nurses volunteers carrying out missions in over twenty countries around the world. The mission of Emergency Smiles is realized in providing humanitarian health care in countries with economies in transition and in countries affected by wars and political insecurity, with particular attention to children with facial defects, sequelae of burns, war trauma, neoplasm and ophthalmology and pediatric pathology. The goals of the Organization are: 1. operate children suffering from labiopalatoschisis, other congenital malformations, sequelae of burns and war trauma, through the implementation of humanitarian surgical missions; 2. combat maternal infant malnutrition, cause of some of the treated malformations and social exclusion that these pathologies carry; 3. to strengthen health medical resilience in the countries where it operates through constant cooperation with local hospitals and institutions and the creation of centres of excellence on site that can serve as a multidisciplinary reference centre for the treatment of malformations face and other related diseases.
