Fondazione Umberto Veronesi

Umberto Veronesi Foundation was founded in 2003 on the initiative of Umberto Veronesi and many other internationally renowned scientists and intellectuals, including 11 Nobel Prize winners, with the aim of promoting excellent scientific research and prevention, health education and science dissemination projects .

The activities of the Foundation renew every day the vision of its founder Umberto Veronesi, a doctor who dedicated his life to developing innovative scientific knowledge to put it at the service of the well-being of his patients and the society in which we live.

The Foundation supports scientific research through the provision of research grants for doctors and researchers and finances very high profile projects that can develop new knowledge and new treatments for oncological diseases; carries out prevention and education campaigns that promote the adoption of healthy and conscious lifestyles, in synergy with schools and with public and private entities in the world of research, information and publishing; organizes international conferences that talk about the future of science and the role that science can have in promoting peace and the well-being of peoples.

Memorabid auctions

"Memorabid Auctions" - identified by a gold graphic design, are promoted and authenticated by the platform, which guarantees every aspect of the item as described in the accompanying text, including authenticity of the athlete’s signature as well as offering certification that the item was really worn in the indicated match.

All the items presented in this section are stored in the Memorabid warehouse, are photographed by the in-house team and are displayed using “360 photo” technology.

When a customer wins a “Memorabid Auction” will have the chance to purchase a COA “Certificate Of Authenticity” (an official document with an NFC Chip related to one sticked on his memorabilia, to certify the authenticity of the purchased item) at a cost of 25 euros at check out.
