Associazione Bof
BOF Association is a dynamic organization based in Imola, founded in 2018. A key point to highlight is that BOF is part of No Sprechi ODV. Moreover, the current president of BOF, Alfonso Bottiglieri, also holds the position of president of No Sprechi ODV, demonstrating a strong synergy between the two organizations.
BOF is primarily engaged in the sustainable planning and management of cultural and food & wine events, with a particular focus on street food events. The commitment to fighting food waste, a core value of No Sprechi ODV, is deeply embedded in BOF’s mission. In this context, BOF actively supports the National Food Collection Day organized by Banco Alimentare.
A cornerstone of BOF's activity is the organization of eco-sustainable events, specifically designed to reduce environmental pollution. The association promotes initiatives aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of each event and raising public awareness about more sustainable practices, with the goal of implementing an ISO 20121 management system.
One of BOF’s most significant initiatives is the “NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia”. This project commemorates Nicola Ussia, who tragically passed away in 2009, and aims to raise awareness about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Through various activities, including fundraising, the association aims to purchase and donate defibrillators to local entities and organizations. To date, the initiative is carried forward by Nicola’s children, Antonio Ussia and Giulia Ussia, both members of BOF. Over the years, eight defibrillators have been donated and placed in sensitive locations throughout the Imola area.
The new charity auctions promoted by BOF aim to raise funds for the purchase of a LUCAS Chest Compression System, to be donated to the Imola AUSL Emergency Unit (118 Department).
BOF actively collaborates with various local partners and has managed prominent events, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a deep commitment to sustainability and solidarity.
