Costanza Di Camillo

The daughter of a former swimmer, Costanza Di Camillo began swimming at the age of three, later also becoming passionate about ballet. She decided to reconcile her passion for the two different disciplines by starting synchronized swimming at the age of nine. After finishing high school, she decided to move to Savona to serve in the Rari Nantes, being coached by Anastasija Ermakova


In 2013 she competed in the European Youth Championships in Poznań, Poland, placing with the Italian junior national team in fourth place in the combined free. At the 2016 European Championships in London she was part of the Italian team as a reserve athlete, winning the silver medal in the free program and bronze in the combined free. At the 2017 Budapest championships, she also participated in her first World Championships, contributing a fourth-place finish in the combined free.


Joining the national team's starters, Costanza Di Camillo won a total of three medals at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow, consisting of a silver in the combined free and two bronzes in the technical and free programs of the team competition. She was part of the Italian team that won its first historic team rainbow medal at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju by finishing second in the highlight, a newly introduced routine in the championships, behind Ukraine and ahead of Spain.
