Matteo Aicardi

Matteo Aicardi is an Italian water polo player and center forward for Pro Recco.

After playing on the youth national team since 2001, he made his debut on July 20, 2006, wearing the senior national team's cap. In 2009 he was called up for the World Cup in Rome, the Mediterranean Games, where he won bronze, and the World league. In 2010 he won the silver medal at the European championships in Zagreb. The following year he won another place of honor, in the World league in Florence, in the same season he won the gold medal at the World Championships in Shanghai beating Serbia in the final thanks in part to his three goals.
