Mercedes
Mercedes-Benz is a historic automotive brand that was established in 1926 following the merger of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft — which had been using the name Mercedes for its cars since 1902 — and Benz & Cie., resulting in the creation of the Daimler-Benz group.
The brand remained under Daimler-Benz ownership until 1998, when the DaimlerChrysler group was formed. After the split from Chrysler in 2007, Mercedes-Benz became the flagship brand of the newly formed Daimler AG, alongside other names such as Maybach, Smart, and, until 2009, McLaren.
