Luxottica

Luxottica Group S.p.A. is an Italian company specialized in the production and trade of glasses. It is present in over 150 countries on five continents and is the world’s largest manufacturer of frames for eyeglasses and sunglasses.

In 2012 it turned out to be the first Italian fashion company by turnover.

The company was listed under the acronym LUX in the FTSE MIB index of the Milan Stock Exchange from 2000 to 2018.

On 16 January 2017, the merger of Luxottica with the French group Essilor was announced. From 1 October 2018, Luxottica Group S.p.A. is a subsidiary of the EssilorLuxottica holding company, which has held 100% since 5 March 2019.
