Martinelli Luce
Technological, modular lamps. Dynamic lamps. Essentiality of forms. Material or process search. Passionate experimentation. These are the values that have always distinguished Martinelli Luce. Values rooted over time and still underlying the design philosophy. They are the foundations laid by the founder of the company.
The company was founded in 1950 thanks to the visionary and set designer Elio Martinelli, one of the most significant designers of the 60s and 70s in the lighting field, capable of transmitting to his daughter Emiliana - today head of the company together with his son Marco - passion and rigor in one's work.
Today Martinelli Luce is an international company with a recognized identity characterized by an aesthetic language inspired by nature and the purity of geometric shapes, accompanied by a strong vocation for technological innovation. Since 2023 the company has been recognized as a historic Italian company.
The brand has always been synonymous with the history of Italian design in the world, thanks to the successes of lamps such as Cobra and Serpente by Elio Martinelli (1968), Pipistrello (1965) and Ruspa (1968) by Gae Aulenti up to more current products such as pendant lamps Multidot (Brian Sironi) and Infinita (Marta Sansoni), Elica (Brian Sironi) winner of the Compasso d'Oro 2011 or Avro (Studio Natural). Some lamps are exhibited in museums of global interest, including the MoMa in New York and the Triennale in Milan.
