Luisito Suarez

Luis Suárez Miramontes, also known as Luisito, is a former Spanish football player and coach.

Luisito is considered one of the best footballers of his generation. He made his professional debut with Deportivo la Coruna in the 1953/54 season, before moving to Barcelona, where he played for 6 years.

With the Blaugrana he won two Spanish championships, the Spanish Cup and a Fairs Cup. His performances with Barcelona have allowed him to win the most prestigious individual award: the Ballon d'Or in 1960.

The following year he moved to Inter, the team where he stayed the longest, from 1961 to 1970, and became a legend. With the Nerazzurri shirt he won three Italian Championships, two Champions Cups and as many Intercontinental Cups.

Despite his role as a midfielder, he scored more than 120 goals in his career.

He wore the colors of the Spanish national team from 1957 to 1972, participated in the World Championships of 1962 and 1966, winning the European Championship of 1964.
