France

The national football team of France is the football representative of France and is under the aegis of the French Football Federation.

It is one of the most titled national teams in the world: it has won two world championships (France 1998 and Russia 2018), two European championships (France 1984 and Belgium-Netherlands 2000), two Confederations Cup (South Korea-Japan 2001 and France 2003)1985 Artemio Franchi Cup and a UEFA Nations League (2020-2021).

France’s most successful period dates back to the late 1990s and early 2000s, when it won the world championship (1998), the European championship (2000) and two Confederations Cup (2001 and 2003). Among other important placements France boasts two second places and two third places in the World Championship and a second place in the European Championship, where it also reached the semi-finals on two occasions.
