Description

This splendid Eisenberg Original brooch dates back to the 1940s and is a refined example of high-end American costume jewelry of the era. Crafted from vermeil (gilded silver), it features an elaborate structure reminiscent of a leafy or feathery motif, typical of the Art Deco style, which was then transitioning toward softer, more fluid forms.

The center and edges are adorned with large, faceted amethyst rhinestones, in rich, deep hues, which capture the light with remarkable brilliance. Small clear crystals set along the metal profiles add luminosity and contrast, enhancing the overall effect.

Measuring approximately 7 x 5 cm, this brooch expresses the opulence and elegance typical of Eisenberg creations, designed to adorn evening gowns and coats with a touch of sophisticated theatricality. It is one of two twin brooches (as listed in the previous lot), and its careful workmanship and rich design make it a true collector's piece, a testament to the excellence of American design during the golden age of vintage costume jewelry.

For this charitable initiative, Memorabid is responsible for collecting pre-auction bids.

The final closing of the lot will take place during the event on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 6:30 PM at Palazzo Broletto in Pavia.

At the end of the pre-auction, the highest bid received for each lot will constitute the starting bid for the in-person event. If there are no further bids, the pre-auction winner will definitively win the lot.

Pre-auction winners will receive an email inviting them to raise a maximum bid, which will be carried over to the auction on December 2nd to protect the interests of the online pre-auction participant.
