Description

An imposing chrysanthemum-shaped brooch by Trifari, made in the United States in 1944, is a true example of the American fashion house's mastery during the Second World War.

The brooch, measuring 7 x 7 cm, is crafted from cast silver and embellished with green rhinestones that follow the lines of the petals, creating an elegant play of light and reflections. The floral design, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, expresses the perfect balance between naturalism and decorative style, characteristic of Trifari creations of the period.

This piece is recognized and documented as a significant example of Trifari's production and is published in several reference works:

  • Costume Jewelry by Brunialti, p. 139
  • Costume Jewelry by Angie Gordin, p. 172
  • Gioielli della Fantasia by Idea Books, p. 183

A collectible brooch of great historical and artistic value, testifying to the elegance and quality of craftsmanship in 1940s American costume jewelry.

For this charitable initiative, Memorabid is responsible for collecting pre-auction bids.

The final closing of the lot will take place during the event on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 6:30 PM at Palazzo Broletto in Pavia.

At the end of the pre-auction, the highest bid received for each lot will constitute the starting bid for the in-person event. If there are no further bids, the pre-auction winner will definitively win the lot.

Pre-auction winners will receive an email inviting them to raise a maximum bid, which will be carried over to the auction on December 2nd to protect the interests of the online pre-auction participant.
