Description

Amarelli "Modern Art" series licorice box.

In the early 1980s, riding the wave of success of the iconic metal tins reproducing antique labels from our archive, the idea of breaking with our centuries-old tradition was born.

Thus, the "Modern Art" series was born, sublimating the new stylistic expressions of the early decades of the last century in elegant images.

A selection of refined covers reproducing "The Speed Welder," a 1927 work by Fillia, and "Woman with Parasols in Front of a Hat Shop," paintings by August Macke from 1914.

Completing the collection are two magnificent works by Paul Klee: "Le Faux Serment," from 1933, and "Landscape with Yellow Birds," from 1923.

The line featured the famous and delicious licorice and remained in distribution until the late 1980s.
