A private podcast studio experience for two in New York, with a personal consultation with the acclaimed host and producer
Discover how compelling conversations become exceptional podcasts—and explore your own ideas with someone who knows the craft from every angle.
The Relic Room, a video podcast and music recording studio in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood, welcomes two guests for a private experience led by studio director Sam Bair and lead engineer Brett Tubin. Tour the recording facilities and podcast video set before sitting down for a personal, on-set conversation with award-winning podcast host, producer and editor Jody Avirgan.
Avirgan’s career spans FiveThirtyEight Politics, ESPN’s 30 for 30 Podcasts and TED’s Good Sport. Through his company, Roulette Productions, he has also worked on shows including What Now? With Trevor Noah and MLB’s Unwritten.
During your visit, discover how Radiotopia’s This Day, which Avirgan co-hosts, develops from an initial idea into a finished programme. Hear about the editorial choices, storytelling and production work that bring a podcast to life. The experience also includes a private consultation with Avirgan to discuss your own podcast ideas.
