Ambrosoli Foundation

The Ambrosoli Foundation was established on February 20, 1998, by the Ambrosoli family and the Comboni Missionaries, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the work of Father Giuseppe Ambrosoli, the Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital, and the St. Mary's Midwifery Training School in Kalongo, northern Uganda.

Our Mission:

We have inherited Father Giuseppe's spiritual and material legacy and continue his mission. Through our support of the Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital and St. Mary's Midwifery Training School in Kalongo, we aim to ensure the local population has access to quality healthcare services to improve the health and living conditions of the most vulnerable. True to the Comboni ideal of "Saving Africa with Africans," we promote qualified training to guide the hospital toward future autonomy and support the country's economic and social progress.

Our daily commitment:

Support for Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital:

With 286 beds and over 260 staff, the hospital provides care to 50,000 people annually, primarily women and children;

Training of local staff and skills development:

We promote the professional growth of doctors and midwives through scholarships, collaborations with major health facilities, and the deployment of specialized medical personnel to

improve the quality of health services and train local staff;

Women's empowerment:

Through support for St. Mary's Midwifery Training School, we contribute to the human and professional development of young Ugandan women to ensure

an independent life and qualified care for expectant mothers and their newborns.
